CHANGE FOR TONIGHT'S GAMES: JH Games in Whiteface will now begin at 6:00 PM.

Wednesday, December 6th is the kick off for our 12 days of Christmas dress up. We would like students and staff to participate in this, but please don't feel obligated.

Parents/Guardians: Our school will do spinal screenings on December 20th. State law requires that schools must screen students for spinal problems. Phebe Myers will be screening 5th and 7th grade girls, and 8th grade boys, before the spring semester, to meet this requirement. She will check your child for signs of spinal problems like scoliosis. Catching a spinal problem early can make the treatment much easier. Not treating spinal issues can lead to serious health problems. The screening is simple. She will look at your child's back while he or she stands and bends forward. They will need to remove their shirts for an effective screen. I am asking that the girls wear sports bras or a swimsuit-like top on the day of screening. The school will send you a letter if your child does not pass the screening. The letter will tell you how to follow up with a doctor. This screening is not a medical exam. Your child still needs to see a doctor for checkups. If you have any questions or concerns please contact Phebe Myers at 806-543-4553. Parents/Guardians of 9-12 grade students, we are hosting a dual credit night in the auditorium on November 28th @ 6:00pm. SPC will be giving a short presentation and Q&A.

Don't forget that this Friday is our Veteran's Day program. We will be honoring those who have served for our freedom! We encourage all local Veterans to join us for this special program. Our program will begin at 9:30am in the Anton HS Auditorium. A reception will follow for all Veterans.

Anton ISD will be honoring all veterans, spouses or widows of veterans with a Veterans' Day program and reception on Friday, November 10, 2023. We would love to have any local veterans join us for this very special program.

Friday night is our Anton Community Loteria Night! We will begin at 6:30pm in the Anton Church of Christ Annex Building (across from city hall). Several awesome prizes are going to be given away for winners. We will have a concession stand open as well. Bring your friends and family for a great night of fun and fellowship.

Productive day in the Ag shop! The boys are building furniture & cornhole game boards. Pretty cool things happening around here!

6-12 Students nominated teachers who have made a difference in their lives. Our September Difference Maker is Coach Brian Duncan! If you see him around, please tell him what a great job he's doing with our kids. Here are a few things students said about him: "He's preparing me to be a man." Yesterday, we took over half of our MS & HS students to Altitude--53 kids to be exact. These students maintained 96% attendance or better, had good grades, and zero office referrals for the 1st 6 Weeks! Keep up the good work. We love rewarding our kids for the great things they are doing!
