First day ice breaker in Mrs. Chavarria's class: The Almost Impossible Pyramid Challenge! Wonderful for getting kids talking and collaborating. Each student holds a piece of string and an elastic band. Their mission? To build a pyramid of cups with no hands but a lot of teamwork.

Join us at 6 PM for Meet the Teacher in the HS auditorium! After the Title I Meeting, 6th grade parents & students will have Orientation in the HS library. All other teachers will be in their classrooms to receive parents & students. Meet the Bulldog will be at the football field, beginning at 7 PM. It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Anton ISD’s, Ms. LaDawn Skipper. She was a beloved educator, mentor, and friend who poured her heart into every student she taught and every life she touched.
Ms. Skipper dedicated her life to shaping young minds with kindness, wisdom, and unwavering commitment. She loved her students fiercely and cared deeply for others—her warmth, passion, and presence will be dearly missed by all.

Online registration is now live through Parent Portal on our website for the 2025-2026 school year! All students must be registered every school year.
We have had some calls with some similar questions:
We recommend using Firefox on a desktop/laptop computer to complete enrollment. The system does not always play nice with Google Chrome or on a mobile device.
Please call either the elementary (PK-5) at 806-997-5221 or the secondary (6th-12th) at 806-997-5211 should you have any questions.
We will also be available to assist you in the HS computer lab beginning July 29th (see attached flyer).

Summer School for 9-12 graders begins Monday, June 2nd! We are doing things a little differently this year. Summer school will only be from 10 AM- 12 PM, and students will focus solely on the EOC material they need to retake. Students, be sure to check your AISD email account for notifications. Letters were also mailed home today.

Anton High School ended the school year with a new tradition! The “Chopped” challenge. Contestants were: team one - Mr. Verkamp, Coach Myers & Mr. Alvarado. Team two - Michael Carlisle, Joe Jimenez & Mrs. Vessel. The challenge dish chosen from team two was beef Wellington. Winners: team two. Both teams did wonderful!!! What a delicious way to wrap up the year!! BTW, the losers had to wash dishes! 😆
